The Humanoid model is our all-round fun performance shortboard, originally designed and tested for Matt Wilco after a request came in from an Australian surf mag. Matt’s feedback was super positive — cheers, Wilco! Since then, we’ve given the Humanoid a bit of a refresh, fine-tuning a few details to bring out the best in its performance.

We’ve reworked the volume distribution, spreading it more evenly through the nose and tail for a better-balanced feel underfoot. The outline is fuller throughout, but still pulls into a tight, rounded pin tail for control where you need it most. Up front, the low entry rocker has a subtle nose flip, giving the board a sleek, stylish look while helping it handle steeper take-offs with ease.

On the bottom, it starts with a subtle single concave that transitions into a deeper double concave through the fins, helping generate speed and drive. The narrower, pulled-in tail adds control when you’re in the pocket or laying into power carves on the face.

The Humanoid shines in punchy, steep beach breaks or softer high-tide peaks. That’s thanks to its relaxed bottom curve and a touch of flip in both the nose and tail — giving you great down-the-line speed without sacrificing smooth rail-to-rail transitions.

It’s ideally suited for intermediate to advanced surfers tackling mid-range waves up to around 6ft — perfect for those looking for a one-board quiver they can trust around the globe. The Humanoid comes with a quad fin setup, offering plenty of versatility to match whatever conditions you find yourself in.
